About
GRIP.CARDS collects links to news about trading, collectible and expandable card games — both in print and digital — with a focus on news and information about game design and community interaction between card game players and game makers. It's a daily meditation by ✾ millenomi, updated as things are found. It also hosts community assets that help with some card game scenarios, and are free to use.

Returning to More Frequent Updates
I was pulled away by the twin forces of a demanding day job and a lot of infrastructure work to let me be a lot more casual in posting these updates. Both forces are waning just a little bit: site work is done and the job is relenting a little bit. So, hopefully, more frequent updates are coming as well.
One thing that just debuted with the site work is the new set of Community Assets. During the weekend, I also added the existing MtG format iconography that was used on GRIND.EVENTS and the new Netrunner format iconography to that page, which you can download as-is or query programmatically if that’s your jam.
The hope is to not flood your feeds. 1-3 links a day will be all, plus the occasional announcement. And, hopefully: not links about minutiae or about things you would hear about anyway; I will not note about absolute weirdness like cards selling for six figures, but I will absolutely link to pieces that talk about the phenomenon of cards selling for six figures, for example. Dots don’t make a line.

Beginner Guide for RuneterraFrom youtube.com
As a gal who likes going into a game, making an account, and then finding time to play it perhaps months or years later, Runeterra doesn’t let you get a lot of context back, and doesn’t have a ready explanation of its modes once you go back — especially now that they’re landing the concept of formats into the game. I was happy to find a video that helped make sense of it again.

GRIP.CARDS Community AssetsFrom grip.cards
Starting today, GRIP.CARDS hosts community assets — things that I made to help myself play at a game, but that can also be more useful at large. This first release has easy Netrunner proxy stickers for staple cards!
